Frequently asked questions
1. Will you edit?
If required, yes. But with your consent, without changing the central idea at all.
2. Do you guarantee you’ll publish my article?
3. What should I write about?
We’re usually very open with what we accept for our submissions, so long as it’s coherent, positive and not in a Mongolian language. Generally though, we suggest writing within these categories for a larger audience:
Arts and Humanities
Science and Technology
Lifestyle & Culture
Short Stories and Poetry
4. Does Chaaipani become the owner of the article?
5. How long should my article be?
Between 300 and 2000 words – anywhere in the middle is the most suitable for an online readership. Below 300 words is all good if it’s just a quick bit of news coverage.
6. How much do you pay?
Sadly, nothing. Yet.
We haven’t been around for all that long so we can’t offer much in the way of rates, salaries etc.
However, what we can offer is the journalistic experience which can be that little bit of meat in your CV that can help you get the big bucks elsewhere.
In addition, we are able to offer some of our more frequent contributors the opportunity to interview some big names in business and entertainment industry, as well as to provide training on online publishing platforms. Finally, we like to attend many conventions and events throughout India and you could have the opportunity to attend as partners.
7. What do you need to know about me?
We will need less than thirty words on yourself, any social links (Facebook, Twitter etc) and a photo to flesh out your author bio. We will publish without these, but it’s probably better to market yourself with just these few bits of information.
8. I don’t even drink tea..
It’s alright. 90% of our team drinks Bournvita.
9. I have an unlisted question..
