‘Set of 10 pencils Rs.250. Let me know if you like it, will ship it to your address’
That’s the pitch. And trust me on this, you won’t be able to not say yes.
Not because you this comes from a 7 year old adorable kid, but because it comes from a 7 year old adorable kid who knows exactly what she is selling, to whom and why.
Meet Hrida, that kid who isn’t just slaying it at school but also having her first stint of entrepreneurship at selling flexible pencils.
“She came up to me one day and told me she wanted to sell flexible pencils at a little bit higher cost than we had purchased, and buy more such flexible pencils from the profit to sell more. Ofcourse, there is no business plan, no marketing strategy. We just made her a Facebook page – Hrida’s company and rolled the word out that Hrida was doing something people might be interested in”, says Hrida’s father, Sanket Joshi.
Hrida works on this after her school – learning logistics, supply and demand and ways to market her product. She is also taking opinions on other products she plans to launch. Her immediate plan includes taking her products online.
“I want to dedicate this project to my mother who is my inspiration”, she says.
Good luck Hrida 🙂
